Pat and Mike went to England in seek of employment. Pat applied for a butler’s job as advertised in The Times. Mike is eager to learn of the outcome of his mate’s interview.
Well I went to this big house in Belgravia – recalls Pat – and the Lady of the House received me, an Earls wife she was. She wanted to see me hands so I showe’em. And she says it’s all right, you can wear the gloves while you are waiting on the table
Then she made me put me trouser’s legs up to see me calves.
Why did she want to do that?
To see if me legs will look good in stockings and plus fours of the livery
